How to Download TikTok & Douyin Short Dramas

Short dramas (短剧) — series chopped into dozens of 1-3 minute episodes — are everywhere on TikTok and Douyin. The right way to save them: copy each episode's link, paste it into VidBake on the 🎬 Video tab and press Download — every episode arrives as a watermark-free MP4. When a series is posted on its own account, you can bulk-download from the 📺 Whole channel tab using that account's link. This guide covers both TikTok and Douyin, plus the real limits so you do not waste time on dead ends.

Short dramas on TikTok: shortdrama.tiktok.com links

Sharing an episode from TikTok's short-drama section gives you a link like shortdrama.tiktok.com/t/... — under the hood it redirects to a normal TikTok video. So paste it into the 🎬 Video tab (not Whole channel — that tab needs a profile link like tiktok.com/@name). VidBake follows the redirect and downloads the episode at original quality without the logo.

1. Open the episode in TikTok, tap Share → Copy link.
2. Go to VidBake, stay on the 🎬 Video tab, paste the link, press Download.
3. Tap ⬇ MP4 — on iPhone pick Save to Photos right in the share sheet.

Short dramas on Douyin (短剧): the fastest way to get a whole series

Douyin is where short dramas are born — most hits appear there first. Series are usually posted episode by episode on a dedicated account. That is the trick: instead of downloading one episode at a time, copy that account's page link (tap the uploader name → Share → 复制链接), paste it into VidBake's 📺 Whole channel tab — the tool lists the episodes page by page, you download whichever you want, with a Load more button for the rest.

1. In the Douyin app, open an episode and tap the uploader's name to visit their profile.
2. Tap Share 分享 → 复制链接 to copy the profile link.
3. In VidBake switch to the 📺 Whole channel tab, paste the link, press Download → the episode list appears; tap ⬇ MP4 per episode or Load more to continue.

Real limits to know

• TikTok's dedicated short-drama section cannot be bulk-downloaded from a single series link yet — go episode by episode (or via the creator's account if the series has a public one).
• Locked episodes (paywalled or login-only) cannot be downloaded — VidBake only fetches public content and never uses anyone's account.
• Short dramas are copyrighted: downloading for personal viewing is fine, re-uploading for profit is not.

Frequently asked questions

Are subtitles kept?

Subtitles burned into the picture by the producer stay (most short dramas do this). Toggleable in-app captions are not part of the file.

Will I get blocked for downloading many episodes in a row?

On the Whole channel tab VidBake spaces out requests between episodes to avoid platform rate limits. If one episode fails, hit Retry or skip it and continue.
